摘要
This paper reports a classroom experiment that aims atsolving the cultural problem of EFL writing. The problem isdefined as the Chinese way of thinking that is realized in theschematic structure of a piece of English writing. Based onSwales' move structure analysis, the experiment providessolutions to the problem. They are: 1) enhancing students awareness of the cultural problem in their writing, and 2) arranging the moves in an English rather than Chinese way.The implication is that developing students' cultural awareness isequally important as developing their language skills.
