Currently, China's economy keeps booming while theworld economy is still in the sluggish development. Chinahas become a main engine to the world economy and trade.According to statistics, China's foreign trade in 2003reached USD 851.2 billion, ranking the world fourthlargest. APL CEO RonWiddows pointed out that Chinahas become the power engine to the growth of transportvolume and this has been gradually recognized by the ship-ping industry.
