Constant Tonal Modification in the Two-word Phrases of Nanfeng Dialect of Shixia, Shangrao County

石峡南丰话属于赣东北地区的移民方言,其两字组变调主要有阴平变调、阳平变调、上声变调和去声变调,其中阳平与上声为后字变调,阴平与去声,前字、后字有时都有变调情况,去声后字变调有时与两字组短语的语法重音有关。

Nanfeng dialect of Shixia is an immigrated dialect. This article focuses on the constant tonal modification in the two-word phrases, which is mainly expressed in its tonal modification of high and level tone, that of rising tone, that of falling-rising tone and that of falling tone. Among these four tonal modifications, the second and the third are the tonal modification in the last word; the tonal modification of the first and the last lies in either the first or the last word sometimes; the tonal modification of falling tone in the last word has something to do with the grammatical stress of two-word phrases.
