摘要
语言与文化是互构的,语言往往又是文化的核心;医学语言在传承与传播医学科学过程中,产生一种与医学文化互构的现象。本文基于"非典"中西译名的不对称或颇为混乱的现象,对医学词汇进行语形学、语义学、语用学上的探讨,并就医学语言研究提出医学语言学的构想。
L anguage reciprocates culture and the former constitutes the core of the latter.Within the inheritance and trans- mission of m edical science,medical language reciprocates of medical culture.Based on the unequal or confused term of SARS within the English and Chinese languages,the essay entails a morphological,sem antic and pragm atic review of medical vocab- ulary and further presents the concept of Medical L inguistics towards further study of medical language.
