Ambiguity, a common phenomenon in both spoken and written English, often leads to confusion and misunderstanding. Therefore, to accurately convey one's thoughts and attitudes in English, one needs to take simple but effective measures to disambiguate sentences. This paper, by analyzing how ambiguity comes into existence, proposes some practical methods to avoid it before it results in misunderstanding.
