宋明理学在辟佛老、抑荀子、贬功利、取消知识、轻忽气性与才性等方面,心态是相同的,而当代新儒学的学术向度与宋明理学相比在共同中也有差异性,主要是辨佛老而不辟佛老、讲孔孟亦讲荀子、尊德性而不贬气质之性、重内圣亦重外王、新外王的开显等。宋明理学和当代新儒学在生命的实践方面,均尊崇经典、看重人品、化气成性、重开教化。所以,要发挥儒家"推爱"的精神,以完成大我生命的全幅价值。

The Confucian philosophers in the Song and Ming Dynasties had the same mind state in neglecting success and profit,despising knowledge,and other aspects,but the modern Neo-Confucian scholan scholars share some ideas with their forerunners and differ from their forerunners at the same time.Both of the scholars in the modern times respect classics,pay much attention to the character of people,believe the doctrine of the Golden Mean,and attach great importance to education in life practice.Therefore,we must develop the Confucian spirit of 'Love' and realize our full values in the world.
