摘要
随着现代信息社会的发展 ,过刊潜藏的巨大资源越来越被人们所看好和利用。因此 ,如何做好过刊资源管理 ,最大程度地发挥其“参谋”作用 ,是图书馆目前的重要工作之一。过刊资源具有连续性、完整性 ,学科性、系统性 ,数量多、信息量大 ,参考咨询等特点 ,是专题研究必不可少的参考资料 ;过刊资源由于受观念、开放层面、服务形式的限制 ,使其真正的价值未能得到充分发掘和利用 ;过刊资源应在改革管理、提高过刊管理人员素质、扩大过刊工作的服务层次等三方面进一步完善。
In pace with the development of modern informantion society,the latent tremendous resources of back number of journals are being more and more noticed and used by people.Therefore,it is one of the best important tasks at present in a college library how to manage the resources of back number of journals and magazines well and how to perform maximum function of them as 'consultant'. The resources of back number of journals and magazines have these features-continuity and integrity,subject character and systematicness,great quantity and information,consuitant and advisore,and so on..They are indispensable reference material for monographic study. The resources of back number of journals and magazines are restricted to the sense ,opening extent and service form,their real value has not been able to get fully development and utilize. The work of resources of back number of journals and magazines ought to be further improved in the three respects,to reform the management,to raise the administrators quality, to extend the service extent.
