摘要
英汉两种语言都有禁忌语和委婉语 ,但由于植耕于不同的文化 ,在表现形式上各有差异。从价值观念、日常生活和政治宗教等三个方面揭示英汉禁忌语和委婉语的文化差异 ,旨在消除语言文化障碍 ,提高跨文化交际的能力。
Taboos and euphemisms exist in Chinese and English languages,however, both of them vary in form due to the fact that they are rooted in different cultures. This paper puts great emphasis on the exploitation to the differences of taboo and euphemism in both Chinese and English languages from three aspects,namely the values,daily life,and politics and religions. The purpose is to overcome culture barriers and improve intercultural communicative competence.
