摘要 The triangular relationship of China, the U.S. and the Soviet Union formed in the early 1970s once had a great impact on the world situation and world structure at that time. After the end of the Cold War,this old pattern of triangular relations no longer existed. However, a new type of triangular relationship of China, the U.S. and Russia has taken shape in the course of multi - polarization process during the past ten yeas or so. From the path along which Sino- Russian relations develop, it has made known that the U.S. factor has all along played a dual role of promoting as well as holding down those relations.
