Brilliant Work and Tragedy in the Later Years of Zhou Yang

周扬是我国文艺工作领导人,晚年的周扬奏出了华彩乐章。他对自己过去“左”的错误,作了真诚的反省;总结了半个世纪以来特别是新中国成立后思想战线和文艺工作领导中的历史经验教训,并提出了社会主义社会存在着“异化”的原创性理论。但他违心的“检讨”也造成了晚年的悲剧。

Zhou Yang, a literary and art leader in China, did his brilliant work in his later years. He made self-examination for his 揕eft?errors. Based on the historical experience and lessons concluded from the ideological field and the work of literary and art, he brought forward an original theory of 揳lienation?in the society. His self-criticism against his conscience also brought about his tragedy in his later years.
