Along the beautiful Dongting Lake, a great project called 'Green Engineering' is under way. The project aims at planting trees and growing to a forest of 1.5 million mu that equals a third of the Dongting Lake in 5 years. The peasants will gain 636 million Yuan worth of net income from the ground returned from farmlands to lakes, in which the total costs of paper making will be reduced by 0.26 billion Yuan. It is the first project of 'integration of forestpaper' implementing in China. This project has been fully acknowledged by the prime minister, and received concern of local governmental leaders and appreciation of foreign experts. Wang Xiang, the designer and header of this project, the manager of Hunan Yueyang Paper Production Co., Ltd, is himself a deputy to the National People's Congress. He came up with the idea of 'Forest-Paper Business' for the first time in China, and had turned the idea of combining the project of forest-paper integration with the comprehensive treatment of Dongting Lake to truth.
