A real time image processing method based on DSP is introduced. In the system, high speed signal processor TMS32C6202 is used as kernel component and cooperating with FPGA chips. The system has not only the ability of real time image processing but also the function of automatic target recognizing. The system can work alone in stakeout, safeguard and scout and also as a part of a photoelectric measurement system.
