The paper deals with the application range of the second law of thermodynamics, trying to analyze the reason of its coming into being and trace its historical process. It also discusses the influence exercised by the changes of the range and the inspirations we can draw from it. In addition, the paper puts forward a tentative idea of opening up a microcosmic realm for the further development of the law.
