On the Cultural Differences between English and Chinese Vocabulary and Their Translation Strategy

英、汉是两种截然不同的语种,各自内含不同的文化因素,词汇的翻译实际上包含着语义和文化两个层次。本文就英、汉词汇的文化因素及对翻译的影响进行探讨,从而尽量避免词汇之间的文化差异对语言交流所造成的障碍。

English and Chinese are two different kinds of languages.Each of them contains different cultural factors. The translation of the vocabulary should implicates both the meaning and the culture of the language. This paper analyses the influence of cultural factors on translation so as to avoid the communicative barriers caused by cultural differences between Chinese and English vocabulary.
