Objective:To explore the effects of different exercises on blood glucose in diabetic patients.Method:Twenty-two patients with type2diabetes were involved in this study, which included two different exercise programs without change in dietetic control and drug treatment.First program was Jing Song Gong and second program was aerobic exercise for3months respectively.Fast blood glucose, blood pressure and heart rate were measured before and after every program.Result:The levels of fast blood glucose were8.9±1.7mmol/L and7.8±1.4mmol/L before and after Jing Song Gong respectively(P<0.001).The levels of fast blood glucose before and after aerobic exercises were8.6±1.8mmol/L and6.6±1.5mmol/L respectively(P<0.001).The levels of fast blood glucose after aerobic exercise for3months were significantly lower than that after Jing Song Gong for3months(P<0.05)and were correlated directly with fast blood glucose after Jing Song Gong(r=0.519,P<0.05).Conclusion:Both Jing Song Gong and aerobic exercise are effective therapeutic methods for the diabetic patients.Aerobic exercise cooperating with Jing Song Gong may markedly enhance curative effects for the diabetic patients.
