Early stage of cultural communication of Chinese sci-tech periodicals(I). Investigation on the origin of cultural communication of Chinese sci-tech periodicals

为提高对中国初创科技期刊科学文化交流思想的认识 ,促进新时期期刊科学文化交流思想的创新发展 ,在考察中国科技期刊产生的历史背景和社会原因的基础上 ,对其初期编辑出版思想进行客观分析探讨。认为其科学文化交流思想的初期形态是 :主要介绍“西学” ,兼倡本土科学 ,普及科学技术知识。这一比较符合当时社会实际的思想 ,为以后科技期刊文化交流思想的不断丰富和发展奠定了基础。

This paper, in order to enhance the knowledge of cultural and scientific communication of the early Chinese sci-tech periodicals and to promote the renovation and development of the new periodicals in this regard, carries out an objective investigation on and an analysis to the editing and publishing guidelines of the early Chinese sci-tech periodicals on the basis of a survey on the historical and social background of its origin. The author concludes that the early guidelines are: introduction of “the western knowledge”, cultivation of native science and popularization of science and technology. These practical guidelines have laid a good foundation for the constant enrichment and development of the later sci-tech periodicals in cultural communication.
