Reading Marx: A Motif of Our Time and A Task of Modern Society

马克思思想的深刻性注定了马克思的文本必然要以经典的形式出现并不断地为人们所阅读。一部马克思文本的阅读史就是一部精彩纷呈的马克思思想的诠释史。在这里,汇集了不同文化背景、理论思维、意向和词汇传统中人们对马克思的理解,并从中折射出各种阶级、政治和权力关系。因此,对于今天的读者,阅读马克思便意味着双重的任务:理解马克思本人的思想与理解对马克思的种种解读,这就需要对马克思的阅读这一现象本身进行反思,而将阅读马克思作为一个哲学问题提出,就意味着对阅读进行反思的开始。

The classical works of Karl Marx have attracted the interests of many readers by their profundity and abundance for many years. The history of reading Marx is also the process of interpreting the ideas of Marx. Since the readers came from different cultural background and have different ways of thinking, it is inevitable for them to break away from the influence of class, politics and power. To the readers today, we have to confront two kinds of works: Marx's works and the hermeneutic works on Marx. This means we must hold a reflective attitude towards these works and grasp the hidden nature of all these texts.
