摘要
欧文主张环境形成人的性格。他用改造环境的方法来改变人的性格 ,从而达到改良社区的目的。欧文成功地进行了他的实验 ,把新拉纳克极其恶劣的社区改造成了模范社区。欧文的成功引起了当时世界各国的极大兴趣和注意 ,也值得我们研究与借鉴。
Robert Owen argued that human beings are shaped by their environment. In proving his argument, he carried out an experiment with some success in the community of New Lanark which was reformed from a community of infamous reputation to a very good one. His success had aroused enormous interests and attention all over the world during his life time and is still worth our analysis today.
