摘要
文艺思潮中关于古与今、继承与创新、保守与激进的论争是一个历久不衰的话题。发生在文艺复兴时期意大利的明屠尔诺与钦提奥的古今之争和发生在中国明朝的前、后七子的古今之辨,是其中两个具有代表性的事件。我们通过"返回现场",探讨中西方文艺思潮中关于古今之争的真正原因,试图揭示这样一个基本的美学原理:不能简单地把传统与创新等同于错误与正确。不能用进步论的模式来否定传统,理性不可能从一个没有历史积淀的"零点"开始。只有深受传统的濡养,又不乏创新的激情,创造力才有其茁壮的"根"。
The debates between ancientness and modernness, inheritance and innovation, conservativeness and radicalness in the trend of thought in literature and art have been going on. The debates about ancientness and modernness between Minturno and Cinthio in the Italian Renaissance and seven men of letters in the Ming Dynasty of China are the two typical ones. By 'Going Back to the spot',we discuss the true causes for this debate in Chinese and Western trend of thought in literature and art and try to bring to light the following basic aesthetic principle:tradition and innovation can't be simply regarded as falseness and truth. That is to say, tradition can't be negated and it is impossible for reason to begin with 'zero' and creativity is only made based on tradition and whereupon innovation.
