Study on the Synthesis of p-Toluenesulfonyl Chloride

摘要 以甲苯、氯磺酸、三氯氧磷为原料,氯化铵为催化剂合成对甲苯磺酰氯。研究了氯磺酸、三氯氧磷、催化剂用量及反应时间对氯磺化反应的影响。得出了最佳原料摩尔比:甲苯:氯磺酸:三氯氧磷:氯化铵为1:1.3:0.6:0.1,其产品收率达98.85%,纯收率为97.86%(对甲苯磺酰氯85.41%,邻甲苯磺酰氯12.45%);同时酸性废水比原工艺减少了70%以上。 Taking toluene, chlorosulfonic acid and phosphoryl chloride as raw materials, p-toluenesulfonyl was synthesized. The effects of amount of chlorosulfonic acid, phosphoryl chloride, and reaction temperature on the yield of p-toluenesulfonyl chloride were investigated. The optimal reaction condition was obtained by the catalyst selection experiments and the orthogonal test. The ammonium chloride was chosen as the suitable catalyst and the optimum molar ratio of toluene, chlorosulfonic acid, phosphoryl chloride and ammonium chloride was found to be 1,1.3,0.6 and 0.1. Under the optimal reaction condition, the yield and pure yield of toluenesulfonyl chloride are up to 98.85% and 97.86% respectively. The yield of p-toluenesulfonyl chloride and o-toluenesulfonyl chloride achieve 85.41% and 12.45% respectively. Acidic waste fluid is dropped off 70% or more. The process is successful for reducing the cost and the environmental protection.
