Totemism Indicates the Starting Point of Human Civilization

人类直立姿势的进化优势在于生殖优势 ,但早期人类可能实行的近亲繁殖的危害 ,人口迅速增长 ,取代了其他人种。图腾制是文明“大跃进”的开始 ,人类文明的一些主要标志 ,如社会禁忌、宗教崇拜、宗法制度、农业和国家起源等 ,都是图腾制直接或间接导致的结果。

The Homo erectus found their evolutionary superiority in their reproduction superiority. However in the early period, human beings' inbreeding hindered this superiority. About 30,000～40,000 years ago, the Homo sapiens invented totemism which helped avoid inbreeding, and as a result the population of the Homo sapiens increased fast and then became the dominating one. Thus, totemism indicates the starting point of great cultural advances. Some main signals of human civilization such as social taboos, religious worship, patriarchal clan system, agriculture and the origin of the state are directly or indirectly related to totemism.
