On Writing English Abstracts in Social Science Journals

英文摘要应言简意赅,体现论文要旨。综观各类期刊杂志英文摘要,参照EI对英文摘要的写作要求,针对摘要写作中常见问题进行对比分析并举例说明。为逐步提高英文摘要写作水平介绍几种实用方法。

An English abstract should be clear and concise and represent all the main points of a paper. From general review of a variety of journals abstracts and combining the requirements for abstracts EI (Engineering Index) demanded into our social science journals' requirements,this paper exposes kinds of common problems in abstracts writing by compare, contrast and analysis as well as illustrations. Furthermore, it puts forth some good methods to improve the authors' writing English abstracts levels progressively and a series of certain requirements and expectations, especially for our social science journals, to our authors' future English abstracts writing as well.
