Computer Aided Design of External Chill for Castings

将冷却面积扩大法与数值计算技术结合起来,用前者设计初始工艺,用后者进行工艺优化,形成了一种既实用又可靠的铸件外冷铁工艺计算机辅助设计方法,并在微型机上编制了外冷铁工艺计算机辅助设计软件系统CACD。该系统全部采用汉字提示,以人机对话和屏幕作图方式进行交互式图形和参数的输入,结果以屏幕彩色显示、绘图和打印文本的形式输出,操作过程方便、灵活。实践表明用该系统进行工艺设计,具有效率高、结果可靠等特点。

Abstract To handle the complicated external chill design of castings with accuracy, a practical, reliable method of computer aided design of external chill for castings was developed by combining cooling surface enlargement method with numerical method, the former is used to design a primary casting with a complete rigging, the later to improve the primary design by calculating the solidification sequence and predicting the shrinkage distribution in the casting. The software system CACD was compiled. The prompt of Chinese character, pictorial colour display, output of plot and print text are used for the system application of this program to actual casting designs has demonstrated that it is easy to master, very reliable and highly effective.
