摘要
本文以问卷和访谈的方法对 67名大学英语学生进行了外语学习课堂焦虑调查和研究。结果表明焦虑比较普遍地存在于这些学生当中 ,而成绩差的学生焦虑比成绩好的要更严重。本文还针对学生焦虑的状况以及焦虑产生的原因提出了一些降低焦虑的策略。
This paper reports on a study of the foreign language learning-related anxiety felt by Chinese college students. The study was conducted on a pool of 67 subjects, using questionnaires based on Horwitz's 'Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale' and also through individual interviews. Its findings show a widespread and significant distribution of anxiety among learners of foreign languages at Chinese colleges, with the degree of anxiousness felt inversely correlated to individual students' classroom performance. Some strategies for dealing with this situation are recommended by the author.
