摘要
本文首先对关联理论语境观和系统功能语言学语境观做了简要介绍和对比 ,然后从与翻译研究相关的两个角度 :译文连贯和翻译单位等进行了对比研究 ,综述了这两种语境观各自给翻译研究带来的启示和不足 ;本文最后指出 ,尽管这两种语境观应用到翻译研究当中各有优缺点 ,但是 ,在描述和解释翻译现象时可以互补。
Applying what RT and systemic and functional grammar say respectively about context to an examination of coherence in translated texts and translation unit, the author compares the explanatory powers of these two theories and concludes that their specific strengths and weaknesses notwithstanding, the two theories are complementary in addressing issues in translation.
