Synopsis: This paper described in detial the development of the casting process of the high toughness dutile iron cooling wall for blast furnace. which is in large size and hesvy sectioned. The characteristics of casting structure, the design of casting process, and preparation of steel coils as well as the asembly of moulds and the heat treatment of casting were mentioned in this paper. Some production experiences provied by the test results will give a reference on the manufaturing water cooling castings for the metallurgical industry and others.
