摘要
Since Shen Kuo of Northern Song Dynasty raised the question and attributed the book to He Ning of the Five Dynasties, the controversy concerning the author of Xiang Lian Ji continued up to date. Generation after generation of scholars have tried to identify the real author of this collection of love poems in terms of edition, contents, life of the author, the authenticity of the preface, etc. and brought this historical case of scholarship to an end. I believe that this book was not written by Han Wo; instead, it was a collection of love poems produced in the reign of Emperor Ren Zong of Northern Song Dynasty to meet the aesthetic taste of that time.
