摘要
最近在莱芜盆地新发现了山旺组,它的特征与临朐一带的山旺组相似,也是由粘土岩、页岩与玄武岩组成,并含有丰富的鱼类、蜻蜓、介形类、鳖类及植物化石,是"山旺化石"的重要补充。这一发现,说明新近纪早期,在鲁西除山旺地区之外,其他的新生代盆地中也可能有同时代地层沉积。该套地层中所赋存的相关资源的调查应引起地质工作者的高度重视。
Shanwang Foramation was resently discovered in Laiwu Basin. Its characters are similar to Shangwang Formation's in Linqu area. It also composed of clay, shale and basalt with lots of fossils in it,such as fishes, dragonflies, alosa; ostracoda and some kinds of plants.The fossils are similar to'Shanwang fossils', too. It is suggets that the same period strata maybe deposit in Neogene basin apart from Shanwang area. We should survey relative resources in the strata.
