The authors analyse the current situation of economy, society, culture, science and technology and education in Shanxi province and the carrying capacity and the objective demand on education by society and people from the view of sustainable development, put forward the strategies of non-lineal development, humanism, low barycenter, high quality and characteristic in vocational education, and finally expound the environmental support for sustainable development of higher vocational education in Shanxi province.
