Reform and Development of Chinese Furniture Industry

回顾了建国50年来中国家具业的发展历程。近20年来我国家具业进入高速发展的时期。2002年我国家具工业产值达到1650亿元。且已成为世界第二大家具出口国。分析了目前我国家具业生产及布局的特征：家具生产主要集中分布在沿海地区。非公有制企业占主导地位。家具价格稳中有降，市场不断扩大，家具生产工业化、标准化进程加快，质量控制体系逐渐形成等。

The author reviews development of Chinese furniture industry over the past 50 years. During the past 20 years, the Chinese furniture industry developed at a high speed. The industrial output reached to 16,500,000 Yuan by 2002, and China has ranked the second in the furniture-export countries of the world. The author analyzes the characteristic of the production and arrangement of the Chinese furniture industry at present. After analysis, we get the results; the furniture industry in China distributes in the coastal area mainly, and the non-public enterprises occupy the leading position, the price of the furniture is stable with a slight decline, the market is expanding constantly, the process of industrialization and standardized of furniture producing is accelerating, the control system of quality is developing gradually.
