The requirements of the vast users for the power supply and its reli ability and quality are higher and higher, however the present situation of our country's existing power network can't meet the needs of the development of the national economy, and speeding up the reliability construction of the power netw ork has become one of the emphases of the power works. This paper briefly expoun ds the methods for increasing the reliability of the power network, and puts for ward the optimum scheme of realizing the automatic system of the typical power n etwork.
