The Social Functions of Archives

本文从档案的社会记忆功能、信息功能、文化功能三个方面探讨了档案的基本功能,试图从人类社会的整体高度上去认识档案与社会的密切联系,从而揭示档案的本质属性。

This paper discusses the functions of archives from three aspects: record, information and culture, particularly from the prospect of human society, to provide a better understanding of the close relationship of archives with the society and to deepen the knowledge of the nature of archives.
