Optimized fluoborate bath for electrodeposition of semi-bright fine-grained lead-cadmium alloy containing >20%Cd is reported. Cathodic polarization can be significantly increased by addition of additives RPC and PCT. At a given concentration ratio of Pb to Cd in the solution, higher current density applied results in higher cadmium content in the deposits.
