内向传播和人际传播的双向对话——论建立传播学的翻译观

A Two-way Dialogue:Intrapersonal and Interpersonal Communication-Translatology in the Perspective of Communication Science

长久以来,翻译研究着重于“译”的方法,追求“信达雅”的境界,对翻译的“传”的研究未能给予充分重视。然而,翻译实质在于跨文化跨语际的信息传播活动。如果从传播学的视角来审视翻译活动,我们就可以将翻译过程引入深层次的理论探讨,从理论上解释翻译实践中出现的种种现象和问题,为“直译”“意译”、“摘译”“改译”等译法寻找到理论依据。

For long, translation studies have centered around 'how to' issues, pursuing the perfection of 'faithfulness' , 'expressiveness' and 'elegance'. As a result, its 'transmission' aspect has largely been ignored. The nature of translation, however, lies just in the interlingual and intercultural communication. Putting translation studies in the framework of communication science, we can have an in-depth examination of translation process, so as to give a theoretical account of problems of various kinds in translation practices and a theoretical grounding for such ways as ' literal translation' , 'free translation' , 'extracted translation' and 'adapted translation'.
