摘要
本文讨论微粗糙平面上chaplygin球绕铅垂轴永久转动的稳定性,严格证明了在粘性摩擦条件下球绕最小和中间惯量主轴永久转动的不稳定性,以及在粘性和库仑两种摩擦条件下绕最大惯量主轴永久转动的一致稳定性。
The stability of a Chaplygin's sphere rotating about a vertical axis-on a slightly rough horizontal plane is considered. It is shown that the rotation is unstable about the shortest or middle central principal axes with viscous friction and uniformly stable about the longest one with viscous or dry friction.
