Modern Structure and the New Architecture Culture

现代化构成了当代人类生活世界的基本现实。“现代”与“古代”之间存在着一种生存性的张力,表明人类生存品质和样式的变化。这种情形的发生有一个社会和思想的结构性基础,这就是所谓“现代结构”。现代结构以及它所导致的生存品质和样式,体现出的现代性原则,是科学化和民主化。建筑的现代化同社会的现代化一样,代表着一种生存品质和样式,也体现为一种观念形态。如果我们把建筑的现代化作为“新建筑文化”建构的起点,那么同样也应当首先关注和探究它的“现代结构”,关注这种新文化的目标和价值取向。

Modernization has become an objective reality of human's life world. Between modern times and ancient times, there is a tension for life, which indicates the evolvement of quality and style of human's life. This situation must have a structural basis in society and thought, which may be called modern structure'. The author considers that the modern structure and the corresponding quality and style of human's life have incarnated the modern principles of scientific and democratic. The modernization of architecture is similar to modernization of society in many ways, which is also on behalf of the quality and style of human's life and represents as a kind of conception form. Taking it as the starting point of the construction of 'new architecture culture', we also should pay close attention to its modern structure, and give prominence to the basic purpose and the value tropism of the new architecture culture.
