摘要 卫星和Internet是开展网络教育的两个基本平台,开展高校间跨校选课、学分互认,共享教学资源是网络教育一个新的研究方向。本文探讨了跨校选课、学分互认网络教育的系统平台构架、教学应用模式、教学效果和经验,得到了许多有价值的信息,对进一步开展跨校选课网络教学具有示范作用和指导意义。 Satellites and the Internet are two basic platforms in the delivery of online education. How to integrate these two platforms, eliminate the barrier between schools, and achieve the goals of cross-recognition of credits and resource sharing are new major research areas. With an e-learning solution, satellites and the Internet can be combined to transmit and share sound teaching practices live. This new e-learning model can be utilized to provide quality education to Western China through a broadband digitalized multimedia platform and the operation of joint course offerings. This online education system which is made up of satellites and the Internet consists of five components: satellites, ground satellite stations, educational service centers, teaching centers and the Internet. This system also consists of two teaching sub-systems: a satellite broadband video teaching subsystem and a teaching website sub-system. The first sub-system uses the broadband broadcasting function of satellites and the two-way communication function of the Internet to allow teachers to deliver synchronous teaching sessions through video broadcast and to let teachers and students engage in audio-based interaction. The second sub-system, on the other hand, provides students with 24-hour non-stop asynchronous teaching services with the assistance of the Internet. In this online education practice based on satellites and the Internet, the mode of teaching consists of the following: paper-based teaching materials, live satellite broadcasting of courses, multimedia coursewares, online problem-solving sessions, localized teacher counseling, online mock self-tests and a unified examination.
