The Present Situation and Development of Higher Professional Education in Our Country

在"十五"期间,我国的产业结构有了重大调整,加入WTO以后,社会经济对外开放的步伐也进一步加快。在这种形势下,高等职业教育既暴露出很多的不适应性,也面临着难得的发展机遇。因而,要通过政府统筹对高等职业教育进行多方面的改革,为社会培养面向生产、服务和管理第一线的实用型、技能型人才。

During the period of 'The Tenth Five-year Project', our country's industrial structures have been greatly adjusted. After the entering of WTO, we quicken our steps of the opening of social economy. Under this situation, higher professional education exposes its unfitness and it is also faced with a rare chance. Through the unified government leadership to the reforms of higher professional education, we foster practical and technical talents who are facing the forefront of production , service and administration.
