The communication management software XCOM, and its workflow in the production control and management system of No. 1 Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. are described. The process computer message simulator was designed to deal with the low efficiency of message simulating, a problem encountered in the company's internal test for production control and management system. The simulator with the three-tier development pattern, which was used in the second internal systematic test, has greatly improved the efficiency of message simulating in the steelmaking section.
