建造一种语言

张永和的建筑思想在九十年代经历了由对带有中国文化特征的院落空间的探讨向建构学的研究,再向对城市建筑现象的不定性的关注的转变。这种建筑立场和策略的转变是对全球化趋势的顺应和妥协,同时也可看作是当代中国资本主义化与城市化双重进程在建筑实践中的反映。这一态度与库哈斯的“无条件接受现实”的“回溯的宣言”不无相似,它的危险在于建筑师可能由此而失去通过建筑实践确立自己的文化特征和身份的机会。

Zhang Yonghe's focus in architectural domainshifted from the studies of the prototype of courtyardhouses with the characteristic of traditional Chinese archi-tecture to architectonics in the mid-90's, and then tourbanism which addresses the instability of urban phe-nomena in late 90's. The transitions in his strategy illustratea conformance or compromise to the trend of Globalization,as well as the impact of the simultaneous processes ofcapitalization and urbanization on the praxis of architec-ture in China. The new agenda and strategy in his practice,in which there is a certain similarity with the 'retrospectivemanifesto' of Rem Koolhaas, take the risk of losing theopportunity of approaching a critical consciousness andthe clarification of cultural identity.
