早在日本留学期间鲁迅就清醒地认识到翻译具有启迪思想、沟通文化的作用。他的翻译作品为传播被压迫民族的反抗之声、启迪国人思想作出了很大贡献。鲁迅这一阶段的翻译以间接翻译为主。这种根据中介本进行翻译的移译经历为其日后翻译路径观的形成奠定了重要的实践基础。

As early as when studying in Japan, Lu Xun has deep understanding of the fact that translation plays an important role in minds-enlightening and cultures-linking. He makes great contributions to disseminating the voice of an oppressed nation and enlightening his fellow countrymen by his translation works. During this period of time, Lu Xun gives priority to indirect translation and his practice of making translation by intermediary versions lays the foundation for the formation of his concept of translation.
