On the Reform of College English Teaching

概述大学英语教学的现状,剖析了存在的问题,从教学大纲、教学法、班型和测试等诸多方面提出了解决这些问题的措施.

Although great progress has been made after years of hard work, many problems remain unsolved with college English teaching. There is still a big gap between what has been achieved and what is expected in the context of reform, opening-up and economic globalization. This paper explores the problems with college English teaching and proposes some feasible measures that can possibly be taken to reform the syllabuses, teaching approaches and testing systems.
