An Analysis of Nkrumah's Thought on African Unity

恩克鲁玛是非洲独立后第一代领导人之一 ,他积极倡导非洲统一 ,并为此进行了不懈的努力 ,在泛非主义运动史上留下了一笔宝贵的精神财富。在非洲联盟成立后的今天 ,探讨恩克鲁玛的非洲统一思想仍具有一定的现实意义。尽管关于建立非洲合众国的思想不是由恩克鲁玛最先提出 ,然而他的非洲统一思想影响最大 ;非洲统一思想是泛非主义运动发展的产物 ,又是泛非主义运动中比较激进的思想 ;恩克鲁玛倡导非洲统一主要是为了对付新殖民主义。

As one of the leaders of the first generation in post-independent Africa, Nkrumah actively advocated for the unification of Africa and made untiring efforts for this, leaving a precious spiritual wealth in the history of Pan-African movement. Even today, after the founding of the African Union, it's still of practical meaning to study Nkrumah's thought on African unity. Although it was not Nkrumah who first proposed the idea of founding the united states of Africa, his thought on African unity proved to be most influential. As the outcome of the development of the Pan-African movement, this comparatively radical thought was advanced mainly to counter neocolonialism.
