A Study of the Taoist Complex of Poet XIE Fang-de

谢枋得是南宋遗民诗人中著名的代表。他寄情于道教,表现出浓郁的玄门情结。这一情结,不仅是文人士子在当时特定的历史文化语境下儒家自觉意识的宗教化表达,也是他们拒绝现实、捍卫个人和民族尊严的特定方式。

The author holds that the Taoist complex of XIE Fang-de, a survivor poet of the South Song Dynasty, not only embodies the self-conscious Confucian manifestation, in the guise of religion, of the ancient Chinese intellectuals in face of historical predicament, but is also a way of escaping the reality and guarding personal and national dignity.
