自我教育是教育的重要组成部分,在人的发展中起着异常重要的作用,倍受历代教育家的重视.当代我国改革开放不断深化,社会主义市场经济逐步建立和完善,人的主体精神受到前所未有的重视,同时随着人们认识的不断深入,道德作为一种社会现象,其主体本质也越来越被人们认识把握,道德教育作为全面发展教育的重要组成部分,其特有的基本规律也不断得到科学地揭示,所有这一切都决定了自我教育理应成为现代学校道德教育的主题和必然要求.

Self-education, a significant component of education, plays an extraordinary part in the de- velopment of human being. So it's fully valued by educators through all ages. Nowadays with the continuous deep -going of reform and the establishment of open policy socialism market economy, human's principal spirit was paid unprecedented attention to. Meanwhile, with the development of peoples understanding, morals' essence was understood as a social phenomenon. Moral education is an important component of full-scale development of education and its own fundamental law has also been revealed progressively in a scientific way. All the above said determines that self-education should be a theme and inevitable requirement of modern moral education at school.
