This paper first surveys some recent developments in the study of TCP/IP congestion control of the Internet, then explains the principles of congestion control and typical techniques used in TCP/IP congestion control, and mainly discusses the problems existing in TCP/IP congestion control, such as multicast, differentiated services, etc., finally puts forward the orientation of further study on this topic.
