八斑鞘腹蛛的婚配行为可分为三个阶段:精子转移、求婚、交配;在寻找配偶和求婚时可同时利用三种通讯方式:振动通讯、视觉通讯和化学通讯;交配过的雌蛛因交配结束时雄蛛分泌的粘液成为硬塞而不能再交配;雄蛛可多次交配;配偶关系属于暂时,对偶联系,即交配之后恢复孤独状态。

Coleosoma octomculatum's behavior of courtship and copulation can be divided into three stages; transfering sperm, courtship and coplation. The spiders utilize three ways of communication to seek spouce and to court to female, that is, vibratory, visual and chemical communciation. The female won't be able to copulate again after it has copulated to male, because male spider has secreted adhesion liquid that turn into hard cork, but male can copulate many times, the spouse relation between the female and the male is part of a tempory relation and spider renew solitary state after one has copulated completion.
