Environment,ecology and resource as the focus problems have been paid more close attention by people in the world. Along with more and more countries establishing laws and regulations of environment and clean production, clean production has been the ultimate means for each country to solve the problems between development and environment as well as resource, which is the basic mode of industrialized production in the 21st century. It is also an inevitable selection for each country in the world to develop new economy, to take the way of new industrialization and to carry out the strategy of persistent development. Water hydraulic transmission technology is a new technique based on green design and clean production, which is an important milestone during clean production developed. The generating background of clean production was expounded as well as its meanings,characteristics,contents,clean production tools in common use and its main measures carried out. The historical progress of developing water hydraulic technology was related as well as its clean production characteristics. In addition its industrial applications in clean production were discussed as well as the relations between clean production and water hydraulic technology.
