摘要
2003年8月动工的颐和园东墙外荷花池恢复工程,是恢复文化遗产历史环境的实事之一,结合颐和园周边环境改造工程,对颐和园周边的景观建设提出了思索———恢复北京西北郊特有的田园风光,延续“三山五园”的历史风貌。
The renewing of the East Lotus Pool of the Summer Palace begun in August, 2003. It is one of the good deeds of renewing the culture heritage's historic environment. It brings out the way of building with the reconstruction of surrounding environment to renew the pastoral scenery of the northwest suburb and continue the historical culture of 'three mountains and five gardens'.
