邓小平忧患意识是继承中国古代知识分子忧患意识传统,反思历史,把握国情和纵观国际局势的产物。忧国是共产党人应有的历史责任感,忧民是共产党人应有的社会责任感,忧党是共产党人应有的政治责任感。邓小平忧患意识对于我们今天进行中国特色社会主义建设具有十分重要的意义。

Deng Xiao-ping's awareness of anxiety is the product of inheriting the tradition of the Chinese ancient intellectuals, pondering on the history and grasping the domestic and the global situation. Anxiety about the nation should be the historic sense of responsibility possessed by the members of the CPC, while anxiety about the people should be the social sense of responsibility possessed by the members of the CPC and anxiety about the Party should be the political sense of responsibility possessed by the members of the CPC. It is of much significance of studying Deng Xiao-ping's awareness of anxiety to build China into a socialist country with Chinese characteristics.
